We can regret things we’ve done and feel like we have wasted life. However, with Jesus, we are promised a life that flourishes and never falls flat.

…WE ARE equal

God designed women to be equal to men. God designed all women equal regardless of her race, ethnicity, or nationality. Any inequality is not God’s doing, but created by human beings.

…We haVE certainty in this life

A relationship with God and Jesus brings clarity about what has happened in the past, conviction about what is happening in the present, and confidence for the future.

…WE haVE extraordinary worth

We discover our unique value when we look to Jesus. God sees our value to be worth the cost of his Son. Jesus gave his life in exchange for ours, so God could have a relationship with us.

…WE ARE loved unconditionally

No matter what we have done, God loves you and me. This leads us to love God, means we can love ourselves, and helps us love others.

…WE haVE dignity

Dignity is given to us by God. This means we expect to be treated with respect, while we honor others regardless of their differences.

…WE can live shame-free

Although we can be shamed by other people, no one has the right to shame us. We can feel shame before God when we know his perfection and our imperfection. God never leaves us shamed. He puts all our shame onto Jesus so we can live shame-free.

…WE can live guilt-free

Guilt can be a heavy burden. We can be condemned by others and condemn ourselves. The only true guilt we should feel is before God when we realize he is pure and we are impure. When we admit our wrongdoing, he announces us guilt-free.

…WE ARE free

We can be enslaved and held captive both physically and emotionally. This is not God’s desire. He repeatedly defends those who are imprisoned and oppressed.

…WE can be healed and made whole

We can be broken by what has happened in our lives and by what we have done to ourselves. When we bring our brokenness to Jesus, he promises to heal us and make us whole. However, we recognize wholeness is not fully realized in a broken world but in a better world to come.

…WE ARE not defined by OUR scars

Our scars can be a reminder of the hurt and pain we have experienced. The scars may still exist but they do not determine how we live. Instead, we let Jesus, who has experienced everything we have been through, and has the scars to prove it, determine our future.

…WE can find satisfaction

We can be successful and achieve our goals, but still feel empty — a gnawing in our souls that nothing seems to satisfy. When we turn to Jesus and believe in him, the emptiness inside is filled with the comfort of God’s own Spirit.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to enlighten and empower women in their 20s and 30s living in NYC to pursue a lifestyle of resilience and radiance. With Psalm 34 as our guide, Radiant NYC reaches women in the middle of their overwhelm and uncertainty through free resources, weekly articles, monthly video podcasts, motivating videos, IG Live discussions, and events. We are a diverse group of real women sharing our stories of how Jesus is a foundation and an anchor that grounds us firm and secure as we face unpredictability of life in the city. Wherever a woman may be on her spiritual journey, Radiant NYC exists to be a reliable community that understands the challenges of the city and can walk alongside her to give her clarity, courage, and confidence for what she faces. We have one overarching desire — to ignite a movement of women who see Jesus as the change-maker in their lives.
